Welcome to HowWasIt. I created HowWasIt with the idea that we all love to go out to dinner but we don't always know exactly where to go. My wife and I research new restaurants online at sites like DCFoodies.com and AOLCityguide and then we spend a lot of money and end the evening disappointed. The problem is that these sites draw reviews from such a wide range of individuals that a highly rated restaurant may not be what we are looking for. So, I figured we can narrow this wide range and limit this group to our friends and neighbors in our immediate community. By narrowing the opinions to a smaller group, the chances of having success will greatly improve. Great Idea! As an avid "foodie" and home cook I acnlt wait to contribute. I am more than happy put my two cents in. I like the idea of making sure the wine list matches the venue. All too often a good meal can be paired with the wrong beverage. You don't want a fine pinot with your burger with cheese and onions or with your duck confit. Well I am with ya!
